💧 Two cups, every day
Children aged 12 months and over need two cups every day.
- ✓
One for water, which stays with them all day
- ✓
One for milk
- ✓
Both no-spill, either straw or sippy
- ✓
Both labeled with your child's name
Take both cups home every evening, wash them, and bring them back in the morning. We cannot wash or store cups overnight.
Babies under 12 months use bottles instead. See the infant list below.
🛏 A blanket, Monday to Friday
Children who nap need a blanket from home. We give out the sheets and wash them each week.
- ✓
Bring it in on Monday, or your child’s first day that week
- ✓
Take it home on Friday, or their last day that week, and wash it
- ✓
Put your child’s name on it. It needs to fit in a cubby
This is for children from 12 months through preschool. Babies under 12 months cannot have a blanket. Safe sleep rules say a crib holds a fitted sheet and nothing else. If you want your baby in a sleep sack, ask us and we will put it in writing.
School-age children do not nap, so they do not need one.
📦 Friday is cubby clean-out
On Friday, everything in your child’s cubby goes home. Please send a bag or backpack.
- ✓
Cups, blanket, jacket, sweatshirt, hat, and anything else that has built up
- ✓
We keep only the spare set of clothes, sealed in its bag
This keeps the classroom clean and lets you wash everything at the weekend. If you forget a bag, we will find one. Anything left behind goes to lost and found, below.
🧥 Jackets and lost and found
Jackets get lost more than anything else, so they have their own routine.
- ✓
Every Friday we put all lost and found jackets on a clothing rack. Look through it on your way out and take back anything that is your child’s.
- ✓
On the third Friday of the month, any jacket nobody has claimed is free to all families. If something fits your child and you need it, take it. It is free and you do not need to ask.
- ✓
After that, we donate whatever is left.
The easiest fix is a name in the jacket. Write it on the label or inside the collar, somewhere it will not wash out.
👶 Infants, birth to 11 months
Babies are at our Midway Blvd center. The infant program page explains how the room works.
- ✓
Bottles for the day. Put your baby’s name and the date on each one. Breast milk or formula, both are fine
- ✓
Your formula, if you use it. Tell us the brand and how to mix it
- ✓
Diapers, wipes and any cream
- ✓
Two or three full changes of clothes
- ✓
A fitted crib sheet. Add a sleep sack if you use one. No loose blankets
- ✓
A pacifier, if your baby uses one
No cups and no blanket at this age. Babies do not need water before about six months, and only a little after that, so bottles are enough. If your teacher starts using a cup with your baby, they will tell you.
🧸 Young toddlers and toddlers, 12 months to 3 years
- ✓
Two no-spill cups, water and milk
- ✓
A blanket on Monday, home on Friday
- ✓
Diapers or pull-ups, and wipes, plus any cream
- ✓
Two or three full changes of clothes for the season
- ✓
Indoor shoes, for toddlers
- ✓
A pacifier or comfort toy for rest time, if your child uses one
🎨 Preschool, 3 to 6 years

A blanket on Monday, home on Friday
- ✓

✅ What we give you
- ✓
All meals and snacks. Breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and an evening snack after 5 PM.
See the menu
- ✓
Cot sheets, washed every week
- ✓
Everything for the classroom. Art materials, books, toys and outdoor equipment
- ✓
Sunscreen and bug spray can come from home. We need a signed permission slip, your child’s name on the bottle, and a date that has not passed
❌ Please leave these at home
- ✓
Toys and special things. They get lost or broken, and sharing them is hard at this age
- ✓
Food, unless it is part of an allergy or feeding plan we have agreed. Meals are included
- ✓
Anything you would be upset to lose. Cubbies are open, and children are children
📝 Before the first day
We need two things before your child can start. This is a state rule, not our preference.
- ✓
- ✓
A Certificate of Immunization Status, or a Certificate of Exemption.
How to get one
Put your child’s name on everything. Every cup, every jacket, every blanket. In a room of twenty children, a sweatshirt with no name is gone.
First days are often short. Many families start with a half day instead of a full one. We are happy to plan that with you.
❓ Still not sure?
Ask your child’s teacher at drop-off, or call or text us on (360) 682-8920. No question about packing is a silly one.
