We're Now Recognized by NAEYC
Nurture with Care Kids Academy is now a NAEYC-Recognized Early Learning Program. It is a milestone we are proud of, and one that reflects the everyday work our teachers put in. Here is what the recognition means, and what it means for your family.
What NAEYC recognition is
The National Association for the Education of Young Children, or NAEYC, is the nation's leading organization for early childhood education. Its standards are widely regarded as the benchmark for quality in the field.
NAEYC Recognition affirms that a program has the policies, practices, and structures in place that quality care is built on. It is awarded after a review of detailed documentation about how a program operates, from health and safety to curriculum and family engagement. Our Fort Nugent and View Ridge centers earned recognition for their toddler and preschool programs.
Why it matters for your family
Choosing childcare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes. A national recognition gives you an independent signal that a program meets a respected standard, beyond what any center says about itself.
For your child, it reflects an environment built around their development: thoughtful routines, qualified teachers, safe spaces, and a curriculum that grows with them. For you, it is one more reason to feel confident about where your child spends the day.
How it fits with our Early Achievers Level 5 rating
We are also Washington's only Early Achievers Level 5 rated provider on Whidbey Island, the highest quality rating in the state. The two designations come from different places and measure different things. Early Achievers is Washington's state quality rating system. NAEYC is a national organization. Holding both says our quality stands up at the state and the national level.
The same care, now recognized
Nothing about your child's day changes because of this. The same teachers greet them each morning, and the same routines carry them through it. The recognition simply confirms, through an outside lens, what our families already experience every day. If you would like to see it for yourself, we would love to show you around.
