What Saturday Care includes

Saturday care runs the same way our weekday program does. Your child gets a full day of structured learning, play, and rest with the same teaching team and curriculum we use Monday through Friday.

We offer two flexible options so families can use Saturday care in the way that fits them best. Drop in when you need a few hours, or enroll for a regular weekly slot. Choose Private Pay below, or DSHS and military subsidies if you have an authorization.

How drop-in pricing works

At drop-off, let us know how long your child will be staying and pay for that time. Pay $15 per hour for the time your child attends, with a 4-hour minimum.

The daily cap is $90 (ages 3 to 7) or $110 (ages 1 to 3). You will never pay more than the daily rate for a single Saturday, even if your child stays the full day.

If you end up staying longer than expected, the extra time is charged at pickup, up to the daily cap.

Example
If your 4 year old attends from 9 AM to 2 PM (5 hours), you pay $75 at drop-off. If your child stays from 8 AM to 5 PM (9 hours), you pay $90, the daily cap for ages 3 to 7.

We accept DSHS Working Connections Child Care, MCCYN, and MCCYN-PLUS subsidies for both drop-in and recurring Saturday care. Weekend coverage depends on your individual authorization.

  • ✓ Bring or send us your current authorization before enrolling so we can confirm Saturday coverage.
  • ✓ If your authorization doesn't include weekend hours, we'll walk you through how to update it with your caseworker.
  • ✓ Any hours beyond your authorization are billed at the private-pay Saturday rate above.

How to enroll

Whether you want drop-in or recurring care, you only need to complete the intake form once. After that, you can use Saturday care any time.

For drop-in care

  1. Complete the NWCKA Saturday care intake form.
  2. We will review your form within 2 business days and reach out to confirm.
  3. Book the Saturdays you want by Friday 3 PM each week.
  4. Drop off any time between 8 AM and 5 PM (4-hour minimum).
  5. Pay at drop-off based on the hours your child will attend.

For recurring care

  1. Complete the NWCKA Saturday care intake form.
  2. We will review your form within 2 business days and reach out to confirm.
  3. Once your slot is confirmed, we will send your first invoice.
  4. Pay the invoice and your Saturday enrollment is active.
  5. Your slot is held every Saturday until you give two weeks notice.
Already enrolled at NWCKA for weekday care? We already have your child's enrollment papers, immunization records, and emergency contacts on file. You only need to complete the Saturday care intake form so we know whether you want drop-in or recurring care.

Frequently asked questions

What if my child is sick on a Saturday they were scheduled to attend?
For drop-in care: just let us know and you will not be charged. For recurring care: please let us know as early as possible. Your slot is held regardless of attendance.
Can we use Saturday care without enrolling in weekday care?
Yes. Saturday care is a standalone program. You do not need to be enrolled in our weekday program to use it.
How does drop-in payment work?

How do I book a drop-in Saturday?
Email Info@NurtureWithCareKidsAcademy.com or call 360-682-8920 by Friday 3 PM to confirm space for that Saturday. Drop-in slots are subject to availability.
Can I switch between drop-in and recurring?
Yes. Many families try drop-in first and switch to recurring once they know Saturday care fits their routine. Just let us know and we will update your enrollment.
What happens if I book a drop-in Saturday and do not show up?
If you do not give us notice that you cannot attend, we charge a $60 no-show fee. This covers the staff time we set aside for your child.
What should I pack for my child on Saturdays?
Lunch, a water bottle, diapers and wipes (if applicable), a change of clothes, and any comfort items. Snacks are provided. Please label everything with your child's name.
What if I need to cancel my Saturday enrollment?
For drop-in care: there is nothing to cancel. Just stop booking Saturdays. For recurring care: please give us two weeks notice. Your slot stays active during the notice period and you will continue to be invoiced bi-weekly until the notice period ends.
Do you offer Sunday care?
We currently offer Saturday only. We may add Sunday in the future based on family demand.
My child has allergies or special needs. Can you accommodate?
Yes, we accommodate most allergies and special needs. Please discuss with us during enrollment so we can prepare appropriately.
